Something that gets lost in the Caryl discourse -- and I understand why: Carylers have been at great pains to point out that Daryl and Carol are basically the same age and fans seeing them otherwise simply haven't dispensed with their culturally mandated ageist/misogynist goggles -- nevertheless, something that gets lost is how sexy it is when a man falls for a woman who is older than he is. A few famous couples spring to mind (pics below), but there are many more instances of men who aren't intimidated by a woman with a few years on him. All of these couples have a larger age gap than Carol and Daryl. And often these men represent, to me at least, a superior breed of Man (with a capital M).
