Perro Fueguino - A Lost Dog

A while ago, I hosted a lil question about underrated species, and Instagram voted that perro fueguino, or the extinct Fuegian dog, needed more recognition. Working with the indigenous people from the Southern Cone of South America, perro fueguino not only provided much-needed warmth to the Selk'nam and other tribes with their body heat, but also may have assisted in hunting. They were eliminated as part of the Selk'nam genocide in the late 19th/early 20th centuries. This is my interpretation of what we know of them, with white or tawny coats, fox-like features, sharp noses and ears, and a medium build. They deserved better.
