hi! i wanna get back into language learning and i know you know a lot of languages so i was wondering if you have any tips ^^
ah hello! language learning methods differ from person to person ofc, so i can only list the things that facilitate my language learning, but i hope you can find something for you!
my learning process is usually vocab -> grammar -> reading -> listening -> writing -> speaking. (i think the last few steps can be exchanged, but to me, it’s very crucial that i know the words before i start with the grammar, especially syntax)
my favourite apps for vocab are quizlet and lingvist
my english teacher used to tell me to always try to think in the target language, not only translating your thoughts when you speak/write them
learning more about the culture & history of the country/countries where the language is spoken is very good for motivation
this actually doesn’t quite work for me, but there are a few apps such as hellotalk or tandem - language exchange that connect you to native speakers with whom you can practice your target language!
