Broken timelines happen often, for existence isn't forever, every book has an end, and some were never meant to be. Some timelines that fall rarely have survivors, those who survive aren't considered lucky. What makes one belong when they don't have a home? It can be scary when such a drastic event happens, especially when you never knew it could happen, luckily for one poor girl, someone who understood what she was going through, found her.

🎫Mindy!

Mindy volunteered to be the one to go rescue Mibium, as no one else wanted to. Since the rest of the resistance already didn't want him/resented him for getting their friend killed.

She however, due to still dealing with Berkley and his experiments, couldn't stand by and watch something similar happen to her fellow peer. She also saw it as an opportunity to get away from Berkley for the time being, since she was still working under him at the time.

However, She didn't even get to Mibium before she was captured, and brought to Richard.

Mibium has no idea she had come for him. She has no idea if he ever escaped.

And the next new ref!! This time it's Mindy! I both did and didn't change her a lot. I changed her outfit to be a shirt, sweater, and jeans; changed her boots to all black platforms; her eyes are now green instead of pink/purple; gave her some grey hairs/lighter hairs; and I gave her some new piercings!

But I mostly kept a lot of her colors and core elements similar! Including her glowing freckles! I really wanted her to have "weird aunt that you can turn to if you need to make someone disappear" energy. And I think it works here!

Mindy uses any pronouns.

Decided it was about time for an update. My style had simply changed far too much and I want to provide as accurate representation as possible. As well as making it look a little nicer/clear!

I didn't change the prices though, so that's all the same. (And if you want, I am still willing to do my chibi style at a flatrate of $10 fullbody/color/clean lines.)

🧛🏻- why do you hurt whumpee? What do you get from it?:

"To make them stronger of course." His voice is cool and utterly devoid of emotion. As though he's been asked by the person in question many times previously. "And I don't get anything from it. Simply knowing that she will be safe no matter what anyone throws at her. I do it so that no one else can. She is the one who benefits from my hard work. Not me."

🩻- do you have lines you won’t cross?:

He pauses in thought. "I-" he starts but cuts himself off. "I refuse to use my reaping knife on her." There's a flicker of something in his eyes... Fear. "I know it's selfish of me to do so but... I just can't." He looks down at you and you start to see the calm composure crack... His hand trembles at his side. "I will never forget the day she fell on her weapon. It's a pain unlike anything you could imagine. I will never forget her screams that day."

⚰️- if whumpee died, how would you react?:

pre-Mindy "death"- "Impossible. They are one of the most talented, powerful, resourceful, and durable people I know. Including myself." He narrows his eyes at you in suspicion. "However, on the very slim chance someone did... I would make sure the person responsible received a fate that would make death look merciful."

post-Mindy "death"- He freezes at your words, before slowly turning to you. There is a war or fiery rage and an icy glare within his eyes. His ever-present grin turns into not just a scowl, but a snarl. "You have five seconds to run."

🍬-what’s whumpee’s cutest feature?:

His grin turns softer as he looks around, as though worried she might overhear. Satisfied, he leans down to whisper. "It may seem cliche... But their smile. The way it takes up their whole face. The way her nose scrunches up a little. The little dimples that form at the corners of their mouth. And the way their freckles glow that little extra when she's truly happy." He sounds almost wistful as he describes it. "I would do anything to protect that smile."

🕸- what do you dislike most about them?:

He sighs. "His stubbornness..." He rolls his eyes. "They just don't understand that I'm doing what's best for them. And she fights me every.Single. Step. Of. The. Way." He lets out a frustrated groan.

Idk if you are starting the "How my cartaker would handle your whumpee" but if you are... (TW torture, Vicisection, general unpleasantness) My whumpee wasn't exactly a saint before all this and was kidnapped because of it and tortured in various ways for months (physical and psychological) until he was sold to a group that experiments on certain people that fit their "parameters" in order to turn them into hybrids of sorts (like forcing someone to have magical/supernatural abilities through science).

He tried escaping with the few other survivors but was captured again and vivisected while watching the person he was trying to save, die in front of him as the others left them behind, "in order to further knowledge while subduing the subject" he somehow escaped again by himself and has been wondering the wilderness alone with abandonment issues and general "I was bad in life so I deserved all I got" attitude and just tired of everything.

Ohhhhh! This is really interesting!

I can see your whumpee with my caretaker duo Mindy (any pronouns) and Dare (they/them). Both former whumpees themselves.

They live in a cozy little cabin in the middle of the woods that Dar built themself after escaping their whumper/husband, as well as hell itself, with Mindy.

Dare in particular would share in the grief and understanding of watching loved ones die. They'd gently try to bring whumpee with them on walks, and try to just sit with them for comfort. They'd tell stories to distract. And lend an ear where needed. Gifting your whumpee with soft things. Warm things that make the world feel right.

Mindy in particular would resonate on a much deeper level. As she also sees herself as "deserving" of what she went through. But Dare is helping her through it. And She would try to do the same for your whumpee. She'd also understand the experimentation, as her mentor also frequently experimented on her too. Long before she had been captured and stuck in Hell's dungeon by Dare's husband. And left aboandoned by those she thought were her allies. I feel like She'd show your whumpee her scars, in their numerous numbers. And remind whumpee that they are a reminder that you lived. That even if you don't feel like it, the universe has granted you life. Over and over. And that's not to be shamed, but instead awed.

I can also see, if whumpee did gain any powers/abilities, they's also offer to help them focus and use them. Mindy esspecially, knowing that feeling in control of yourself can greatly help feeling in control in general. And also might help whumpee feel more secure, in their abilities to protect themself should the need arise.

What is your character's aesthetic? Do they purposely maintain this aesthetic, or is it more spontaneous?

Oh! this is a neat question! I'm gonna answer for a few different oc the best I can!

Dayzel: basically if a pirate went to a masquerade. Very charismatic and suave, dresses and acts like a royal. But is also a thief and a free spirit. And it's mostly a show, and a false mask to hide himself. So much so that even he often forgets it's fake.

Mindy: I imagine her aesthetic as a pastel goth mixed with a grandmother's well worn wordrobe. Very bright, bubbly with a little edge. But very warm and full of love. Again, yes this something she very carefully crafted herself so as to not scare people.

Jane: Whatever the hell Ms. Frizzle had going on. That would just be her entire wardrobe given half a chance. Especially since she will eventually become a teacher in canon.

Ian: Very gothic vampire. Huge mansion isolated in the woods; dark clothes, boody... But It is also a crafted thing. Like how cats fluff up to look big and scary? Yeah. That's him.

Dare: Absolutely a very forest vibe. He loves animals and trees and is so gentle. Basically think of a wise tree spirit mixed with a golden retriever and that's them.

Dee: Magamind. Just.... Megamind.

Dayzel looks like a deer in headlights. And if one didn’t know the man better… They’d say he was afraid. But then that fear drips from his expression, replaced by rage. Pure and unrestrained.

“Very well…” He hums in thought. “Like any fairy tale… This happened a long, long time ago and very far away. Back when I was… Not innocent, no. But naive. A child who’d grown up with nothing suddenly having everything. Having-” He pauses and releases a breath. Shaky and full of emotion. “Having someone to share that with. Someone whom I trusted with… That everything.” He gives an almost wistful smile as his eyes go distant in his memory. “It was like… A dance. I held him, he held me as we waltz our way this way and that.” He subconsciously began to sway in place. “It was beautiful.”

Dazel went still again, bowing his head. Looking more like a kicked creature than the proud and smug man he usually is. “And then it wasn’t.” The rage is gone, the wist is gone and all that was left was heavy black tears slowly crawling down his cheeks. “And then I wasn’t.”

-- Mindy freezes and her shoulders tense, her motherly grin and warm color leaving as though a cold winter had just swept in. “Heaven above all else… Is efficient. I was not.” Her face darkened. “They gave me names and a face and I was just supposed to find them. Find the poor lost soul and bring them where they need to be. They always resisted. Insisted it wasn’t their time. But I had to be firm. Often use force…” Her eyes screw shut as if she were trying to block out whatever memory she was seeing. “Didn’t matter who… Or where. I was just supposed to make it happen. And as quickly as possible.” She sighed. “It was my job… I-I had to. I had no choice!” Her eyes shoot open and they’re glowing.

She takes a deep breath and her eyes return to normal. But she heaves a shaking sob. “Being caught by Richard was the best thing that ever happened to me…”
