As a follow up! I also redid my design for Dee! I know I rarely talk about them, but I adore them so much. They are Jane and Phoenix's kid. They take a lot after them... For better or worse.

I didn't tweak their design too much, since I always imagined they'd have a pretty simple outfit, with a plain orange (dysphoria) hoodie! But! What I did tweak, I'm so much happier with.

I changed their wings to match their eyes (and their tail is a mix of the two colors), I changed their hair color slightly so it was a bit more dark brown than black, I changed their shirt since you couldn't really see their undershirt before due to it being the same color as the hoodie, I gave them their heart pupils, gave them some new piercings, and I completely redid their shoes.

What is your character's aesthetic? Do they purposely maintain this aesthetic, or is it more spontaneous?

Oh! this is a neat question! I'm gonna answer for a few different oc the best I can!

Dayzel: basically if a pirate went to a masquerade. Very charismatic and suave, dresses and acts like a royal. But is also a thief and a free spirit. And it's mostly a show, and a false mask to hide himself. So much so that even he often forgets it's fake.

Mindy: I imagine her aesthetic as a pastel goth mixed with a grandmother's well worn wordrobe. Very bright, bubbly with a little edge. But very warm and full of love. Again, yes this something she very carefully crafted herself so as to not scare people.

Jane: Whatever the hell Ms. Frizzle had going on. That would just be her entire wardrobe given half a chance. Especially since she will eventually become a teacher in canon.

Ian: Very gothic vampire. Huge mansion isolated in the woods; dark clothes, boody... But It is also a crafted thing. Like how cats fluff up to look big and scary? Yeah. That's him.

Dare: Absolutely a very forest vibe. He loves animals and trees and is so gentle. Basically think of a wise tree spirit mixed with a golden retriever and that's them.

Dee: Magamind. Just.... Megamind.

What kinda music do your OCs like?

dee loves 80s and 2000s pop. her favorite songs are drops of jupiter by train and fireflies by owl city. she tries her best not to listen to music from past like 2013, not cause she’s pretentious, she just doesn’t like it as much. she’s also into country but lowkey

amelia listens to indie stuff and 60s/70s folky stuff: john denver, simon and garfunkel, buffy saint-marie, etc. her favorite songs are piazza, new york catcher by belle & sebastian (it reminds her of dee) and landslide by fleetwood mac

frank loves dad-rock: stuff like journey (her favorite band), REO speedwagon, foreigner etc. (she has pretty much the same music taste as finn from glee which doesnt mean anything but i want to say it.) she also likes country up through like the 2000s or so. alan jackson is her style icon. her favorite songs are don’t stop believing by journey, renegade by styx, and chattahoochee by alan jackson
