Best movies of 2021 || Personally I enjoyed the frothy nonsense of Bright Young Things extremely much (esp a bright young Michael Sheen) but these letterboxd reviews did make me cackle so loudly

Ms Joo saying “use me…I’ll do whatever you want”, Seohyun making this face, this happening….. we all know what’s up
This is a new fanfic of mine. Probably just poetic prompts that mixed together to create a meaningful interaction and stroryline. Pretty light headed, sweet and hilarious piece.

Summary: Their story ended before we knew of them. In many forms, it is a sad ending from the start. It’s easier to feel the pain of separation and longing and it’s understandable to dream of their untold past. However, this story is a small tribute to the happy after we haven’t known off. Every word, every scene is the picture of their beautiful, bright and simple loving life. They deserve that.
So here it is, the journey of Choi Suzy and Jung Seo Hyun through seasons, each, with the other in their arms. Loved and Happy.

“When I was brought down from my prison to the Court of Bankruptcy, between two policemen, Robbie waited in the long dreary corridor that, before the whole crowd, whom an action so sweet and simple hushed into silence, he might gravely raise his hat to me, as, handcuffed and with bowed head, I passed him by. Men have gone to heaven for smaller things than that...
It is not a thing for which one can render formal thanks in formal words. I store it in the treasure house of my heart. I keep it there as a secret debt that I can never possibly repay. When wisdom has been profitless to me, and philosophy barren, and the proverbs and phrases of those who sought to give consolation as dust and ashes in my mouth, the memory of that lowly silent act of love has unsealed for me all the wells of pity, made the desert blossom like a rose, and brought me out of the bitterness of lonely exile into harmony with the wounded, broken and great heart of the world.”

"Having got hold of my life, you did not know what to do with it. You couldn’t have known. It was too wonderful a thing to be in your grasp."

I was reading Richard Ellmann’s 700-page biography of Oscar Wilde when this bit cropped up on how Oscar used to dub Robert “Robbie” Ross:
"the cherub with the flaming sword, forbidding my entrance into Eden"
(Oscar Wilde, Richard Ellmann)
So the genius Oscar Wilde himself somehow unknowingly predicted that Mr Michael Sheen would play BOTH Robbie Ross and the angel Aziraphale, and that just made my day.
