I keep making these looming structures with nobody in them. Have you considered how lonely it is to play Minecraft? The only people left to populate your empire are cats and dogs and such, but they aren't the same. I want to be somewhere populated. I want to see someone alive, someone who'll surprise me again. I don't want an empire if there's nobody in it.

But then The Music kicks in. You read the end poem. You hear it, the humanity. You feel it. You read it. There it is, right in front of you the whole time. Someone coded this world. Someone handcrafted those models. Made those sounds from their own cats and dogs. Someone decided that you would see deserts, jungles, cherry blossoms, caves, mountains, and the whole world just for you. The world is sown with seedlings of humanity.

So the Minecraft movie trailer came out and I just wanna say I’m convinced this is a cry for help from the artists.

There was no villagers anywhere present but they showed piglins raiding what appears to be a village outside.

For a movie that wants to celebrate the creativity of Minecraft, they’re certainly not being very creative by the looks of the trailer.

What will the Next MC game be? Discussion and Thoughts

Minecraft: Legends is a game from the perspective of Villagers, as shown in the game teaser two years ago. Based on this, many people have theorized that not all things in Legends are completely truthful. Craig Leigh, one of the developers said this to Kirk McKean:

What changes the Overworld forever is us, The First Hero. We United the Overworld against the Piglins. But in doing so, we introduced violence, as seen in the Warriors later known as the Illagers in Minecraft Vanilla. What we don’t know is why the undead, specially the Zombies, attack the Villagers. In Legends, the only zombie variants we see are Zombie Villagers, because they were the only humanoid mobs until we arrived. One theory I had was maybe, like the Illagers, the Zombies turned on the Villagers and now help the Illagers. Yet, in the Minecraft Dungeons (or ROTAI), Zombies do attack Illagers. Another thing we don’t know is what happened to the other Piglins. After the Great Hog is defeated, we have saved the Overworld. The Piglins can no longer enter this dimension. But what happens to the rest of the Piglins. Now trapped in this dimension, the rest of these barbarians only can wait either for the Hero(es) to fight them or wait until zombie-fication. I say this because in the official Minecraft Legends: Return of the Piglins, the Piglins use Nether Warts to breathe safely in the Overworld. If all their portals were destroyed, their supplies would deplete, meaning that the surviving groups would turn. Last thing I want to ask is what happened to the Orb of Dominance? It is heavily implied that the Orb came from the End, or more specifically, the Void. (I’m not at home right now so I recommend looking at this Wiki https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Minecraft_Dungeons:Orb_of_Dominance#:~:text=Long%20before%20the%20events%20of,gaze%20of%20six%20redstone%20golems%2C). At the time of Legends, the Orb’s host is the Seer, a Piglin who advises the Great Hog on the Invasion. They empower the leader with the powers of the Orb so that they can attempt to destroy the Well of Fate. The Great Hog failed in the end, and the Overworld is (relatively) safe. Yet we still don’t know what happened to the Seer or the Orb. In the Return of the Piglins, all the events of Legends are lost to history, even to the Piglins. We also don’t know how the Orb traveled to the Overworld and ended up in the abandoned castle before Archie discovered it. So, unless Mojang releases another game, we have nothing to go on. I’m pretty sure they will make another game. Maybe the next spinoff will be from the perspective of Illagers, for their side of the story? Or maybe the Undead? We’ll find out soon, I guess.

Minecraft nerfing villager trading, making it just that much more difficult getting good enchants is actually just hilarious to me. They do not understand how powerful I am.

Give me a rod with Lure III, Luck of the Sea III, and Mending (relatively easy to get after a few rounds of fishing), a youtube video playing in the background, and a few hours of free time. I will get all those enchants through sheer will and patience. You cannot break me like this, for I have the power of FISHING.

Minecraft should add more blocks like copper. For one, it's fun to see more blocks in the mines than the basics, but also it's so versatile.

With all the different stages of oxidation, you're basically getting four blocks for the price of one. That's not mentioning the fact that it's an entirely unique building block: most building blocks are either stones or woods, so having a metal building block is snazzy. It's such a neat texture that you don't get anywhere else.

Point being MINECRAFT!! We love copper! Give us more stuff like copper!

Since everyone's talking about the mob vote (and complaining about it), I thought I'd put in my two cents. Feel free to add to the discussion :)

1. I think people's biggest issue with the mob vote is that the losers never show up again. A lot of people suggest this, but a vote with all the losers would be highly appreciated.

2. I think another big thing with the mob vote is theming. Not so much this year (all a bunch of cute animal mobs with a specific use), but in years past the lack of theme is usually what causes most devision. For instance, last time, we had the sniffer, rascal, and tuff golem. In other words: an animal, random little scrunkle, and a golem. There was also the year with the moobloom, glow squid, and...... iceologer. Like, one of those is not like the others. Why include it there? I think the mobs should be split into themes. Like, for instance, this round, it's all animals. Next round could be for golem-type mobs, then maybe a new enemy round, and perhaps a little weirdo round (stuff like the rascal). Don't make different parts of the community fight with each other! Let all the different parts have a vote where they win no matter what.

3. Don't get me wrong, I get providing mobs for new/casual players. Like, for instance, Little Timmy isn't going use a golem that much or go warden hunting. But he's definitely going to build his little houses and tame little animals! His game's going to be more casual, and that's okay. I get catering to those fans. However, I think there does need to be more mobs for more late-game, I-am-now-god-basically players. That's why the deep dark was so good: it added to the late game experience. I personally think golum-type mobs or new enemies would fit well, but I can also see the little weirdos being made for late game features.

4. I hear a lot of people talk about wanting a biome vote, but I don't think that's feasible. Like, if planned out, the community would need to understand how long it would take to make a full-blown biome and be willing to wait. Instead of that, I think stuff like new plants/food, functional items, and small structures (i.e. wells, igloos, ect.) would be an interesting vote that would take the same amount of effort as adding a new mob.

tl;dr I like the options this year, but I think Minecraft does need to improve its vote system.

I get the mob vote discourse to a certain extent (I have a post on it), but I genuinely don't understand everyone hating on the new updates. I keep seeing all these videos being like "IS THIS THE END OF MINECRAFT?!?!?" or "MINECRAFT IS BORING NOW!!" and I don't really get it. These "labor of love" games that keep updating constantly are rare, y'know? Most companies would've come up with a Minecraft 7 at this point or paywalls covering updates (*cough cough* EA *cough cough*). The fact that they're still putting all this content into it after all these years is cool. And it clearly isn't dying, I mean, QSMP and Hermitcraft have a MASSIVE fanbase, and if you were to hop onto hypixel you'd still see a bunch of players. And pinterest is full of new builds and stuff all the time.

I feel like the people who are complaining are maybe just in a Minecraft slump? I know that sometimes I just. Don't feel like it. And that's okay, I'll wait for a month or so and then hop back on. But whatever their reason, I feel like putting all that negativity on the devs and the community (especially the people who are still hyped about the new updates and stuff) just really brings the vibe down. I get constructive criticism—that's important and good talks to have—but I feel like right now, people are just complaining. It's borderline toxic fanbase stuff, sometimes.

Anyways remember that above all the point is to have fun!! If you aren't having fun, you can just, y'know, not engage. But if you are having fun, keep at it! Don't let anyone else kill your vibe.
