Update: My nether is so broken I can’t even enter the nether.

Every time I go into the nether there’s a large amount of lag which eventually teleports me back to one of the portals where I’m immediately set on fire, teleported into a pool of lava, or got killed by an invisible mob.

Also, yes, I somehow have multiple portals now. The original portal that spawned in the nether got broken by a ghast, so when I went through the portal the 2nd time it created a new portal 3 blocks away. I got killed by an invisible magma cube. I went through again (3rd time) and I got a third new portal.

The most annoying lag that I have ever encountered.

Context: I went through the nether portal for the first time in my world. I didn’t bring anything with me because I’ve had bad experiences with the nether before. I only brought some cobblestone to cover the portal once I got into the nether. Once I went through, I looked around quickly and noticed that there weren’t any ghast, however when I turned around my portal just didn’t exist. I thought maybe I spawned below the portal or above the portal and spent a few seconds looking around the area that I spawned in. Just to quickly get teleported back to where I spawned this time inside the portal, and a ghast also spawned at the same time when I was teleported. Unfortunately, the ghast saw me before I had time to react and blew my portal up and broke some blocks which caused lava to flow into my direction. Now I have to figure out how to get back into the nether now that lava is surrounding the portal, especially since fire-resistant potion ingredients are collected from the nether.
