original Block of the Week: Hale Bale and Block of the Month version
sorry for Regressing to something obscure but omg Duncan called Tom Stone "inimitable" in the latest Minecraft.net article so true!!! i'm glad he's also iconic to other people, even his former(?) coworker (x)
so a new Block of the Week article just dropped on the Minecraft dot net website (yes I read most of their articles) and there was an interesting bit in there
the subject this time was Powder Snow, and obviously the mobs that aren't affected by freezing are mentioned, and the way it was phrased is what caught my attention:
"Most mobs will see the powder snow as a solid block and walk across it, falling right in, then freezing to death. Exceptions include creatures used to the cold, like snow golems, strays, polar bears, and the Wither."
?? do catch me up if I missed something but has the Wither ever been associated with the cold in any way before? I just don't recall anything that would track with this.
I just found this haunting image on minecraft.net
...Honestly don't know how to feel right now

Fact #149
The Minecraft website and the Minecraft update Tumblr blog both use a darkened form of Minecraft's stone texture for their backgrounds.
made a new awesome minecraft skin but can't get Minecraft.Net to load, anyone else having this problem?
Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine.
