It was nearly impossible for Jaylah to not turn in her seat and try to gather what was happening behind her. One mention of being uncomfortable and Xander wasted no time in doing all he could to rescue her. It felt so overwhelming; so wonderfully delicious. Of course, adrenaline still pumped through her, the fear had been real, and she knew there was a lesson to be learned. Perhaps she had to be more careful. Then again, she seemed to find the man who could keep her from making mistakes all together..
Jaylah would finally move to sit properly in her seat; the man beside her speaking up as his call was obviously connected. Jaylah knew it was Xander on the other end, which sent both a need and a curiosity to run through her. The ride wouldn’t take too long, but it couldn’t be soon enough. Hearing the man mutter words of delivering Jaylah, and yes she was safe, and yes the stalker was now in the hands of his friends.. it was so.. amazing. What power, and even more: what care it showed.
Tapping her fingers impatiently on her lap, the minutes ticked by. The moment she saw sign of the driveway, Jaylah would perk up in her seat. The need for the man was now all the more overwhelming. In all honesty, Jaylah needed to feel safe. The car was hardly at a stop before Jaylah was opening the door, “Daddy!” Her voice would whine out, her feet scrambling out in odd steps until she steadied herself and ran to be in his arms.
