And that the crumbs I haphazardly drop are comfort food intended for them. They say a roach can survive a month on just one crumb. So my inadvertent food fumblings could seem to them a bounteous sum.

They also say that roaches are equally disgusted by physical contact with humans. And they immediately seek solace in which to cleanse themselves. Well I say - short of taking a shower after a would be physical encounter, I too consider it a violation. That would mean that our so-thought friendship would be of the most toxic order.
