I know it’s literally not that deep (or maybe it is) but it’s really bothering me that so many people are hating on Mars’s character. Like you’ve said several times that there’s a deeper reason she’s acting that way and as the audience we haven’t seen those reasons yet which is honestly one of the things I keep reading for. I want to see Mars’s flaws and see the reasons behind her actions. It feels like everyone is just looking for a character to bag on and if that’s the case they should bag on lewis. Idk maybe I’m being too sensitive about it and idk what sending this ask is gonna do
Sending this ask opens the conversation! I'm personally fine with people hating on Mars, I have stated before how I like it when a character is controversial. I think sometimes we feel strongly about characters who we can see an ugly part of ourselves in. So I hope those people will eventually find catharsis in her character arc. Or not! It's all up to you!
What I will say is that Mars has indeed issues and this arc is gonna lead to her having to confront those issues. I hope I will execute it well, I'm striving to do it in the truest way that I'm capable of!
