She’s the girl who will “misunderstand” everything she doesn’t like and somehow always ends up the victim. She’s the girl who will ALWAYS get the guy, stumble into a FUCKING PRINCE, and still act holier-than-thou. God, I REALLY LOATHE HER LOL.

And the AUDACITY - this girl actually lectured Qing Yu about how love doesn’t care about social status. EXCUSE ME? You’re from a Marquis’ family, your husband is a fucking PRINCE, you can tell the quality of silk with one touch and identify a precious stone on sight… and you DARE to lecture a lowly-status woman who’s been forced into life as a courtesan about how you “just want love” and how riches or status don’t matter? BITCH, BE SERIOUS.

Apologies - I wasn’t expecting to unleash this level of fury, but I just CANNOT STAND characters like her. She even managed to ruin Song Weilong for me; every time he smiles and bends himself around her, I wanted to cry and scream.

Just give me more Minmin & Zhang Huaiyu and I’ll be fine.

Rewatching Youthful Glory and taking my time. I’m finding it absolutely and perfectly adorable all of Ming Tan’s responses to Jiang Xu. A FL lead who unabashedly desires her arranged marriage husband and giggles over things that I myself am giggling over. And his lingering broodiness with heart eyes is the perfect match. It’s such a fun watch. Even the issues are resolved quickly and it never takes itself too seriously.
