Music in Arrow 7x22

They used clarinet for the Olicity theme. That has never happened before...strings, oboe, piano, harp, voice, horn. Clarinet is used for Thea and family. Which makes me emotional because it was used as they came to the cabin to focus on their family: Oliver, Felicity and Mia.

And then they used “Being happy” as they said goodbye to Diggle and started their new life. If I wasn’t already a mess, this pushed me into weeping. It was used in 1x17 with Oliver and Tommy: “if you are alone, you’ll never be happy.” Oliver wasn’t alone anymore: he has a wife and baby and he was happy.

I’ll go into more depth once I finish 7x20 and 7x21 but I had to get those out!

3 years ago, I started making notes regarding Arrow’s music and the characters. Today I just filled the last empty page in my notebook. Felt appropriate for a finale.

Arrow music notes 6x03 on painkillers: Olicity music is back! We have the oboe and the female voice! It's "Convince Him" from 3x20! 🎉🎶💕 Oh and "Trust and Verify" for Diggle being the leader at the end? That's music for Diggle being convinced to trust Oliver on the team in Season 1 (ok...it's a little more complicated than that but you get the idea.) I hope to catch up with last week's (great Diggle stuff) and get into this with a little more depth. Once I'm a little more clear headed...
