hello tumblr, here's a new spring themed diorama i did today during another crafty afternoon with friends!
this space marine is holding a nice bolt pistol and an auspex, maybe trying to detect if there are xeno hiding in this cute flowery garden...
this time, i used a chessex dice case for the diorama 😁 it was a lot of fun to use actually, despite the lack of space! the little groove along the border of the case allowed me to attach flowers more easily and add some depth.

and if you ask, of course we ate flan. again. it has become a ritual by now (space marine for scale).
Recently started painting minis and it's been so fun. I don't play DND but creating little dioramas with back stories has been fun.
Just finished this Hareman who's job is to Shepard small Myconids in the underdark. I figured he wears brightly polished armour to stand out against the landscape for his flock.
I don't know much about Myconids but I am guessing their eyesight might be a bit bad (could be wrong but in this case let's pretend lol)

i haven't been active much since last october, oops! but projects are piling friends, and i'm still intending to find a cute little home for the 20-something space marines i have in stock!
yesterday i was at a friend's house (dear @pkun-the-eurobeater) for a cozy little craft afternoon, we ate flan and we brought our crafts and tried each other's arts hehe. that's how i spent my valentine's day!

this was the work in progress from last post, i was super happy with the new idea i got to add some tuft of grass (that i crafted blade by blade, i felt like a skilled grass artisan lol).
i'm not that satisfied with this one to be honest, i tried a new little bottle that i thought was cute, but the cork is too small to place a lot of props and flowers, so the overall look is rather "empty" (or its a skill issue on my part, i'm still learning after all).
also!!! ladies & gents, THE MIGHTY FLAN (it was so good i can still taste it in my mouth....)
here it is, the finished project!
i sure gained some insight and hope the next one will turn out even better!

(the flowers are still all crunched up i know, i'll arrange that later)
the new wip! thoughts? ill go full over the top with pinks and purples i think. goodbye natural aesthetic of whites and green leaves. we need to go deeper.
