On July 11th 2014, I made my first Major Dolly Purchase in years. I’d mostly drifted away from Asian Ball-Joint Dolls since 2007 (when I got Volks Yo-Tenshi Yuki), picking and choosing from various 1/6-scale playline (and occasional collector) dolls. But a Tumblr link got me yearning for BJDs again, and then I treated myself to a Mushroom Peddler Tiny Octopus BJD, and then I found myself scrambling to figure out where I’d put all my 40-cm BJD stuffs.
This photo is from 2006. It doesn’t show my entire Dolly Family (my first BJD, Shun, is missing, as are the tiny BJDs). Currently, this space is occupied by a 1/6-scale Han Solo in Carbonite, plus Destro, SDCC The Baroness and playline Cobra Commander lounging in (I think) Emperor Palpatine’s throne.
