Color Me Confused
So the only one of this batch by gen 3 that still has markings is this guy:
This is what his GenePoolz profile looks like:

First two 6th gen Persian Alleys
Ofeliya and Omar
I'd ideally like to get more eye colors, but trying to focus on body shapes and spots was enough things to juggle.
I was definitely sleeping on that brown with cream spots look. Should have had that one on my wishlist before. He came out lovely!
Both are displaying 173 silver-blue eyes, but also carry 115 steel.
Persian Alley Experiment Results
After my first batch of cats didn't yield the results I was aiming for, I got a little sciencey with my groups.
Under a cut because long post is long:
I've significantly slowed down with breeding petz, but I've got some dalis to show off today! (but not in-game pics...)
Aly is 5th gen, and I was gathering up four more to breed them up to 7th gen.
I had Downpour, the son of Anarchia & Overcast.
And I thought I had Calligraphy, pup of Ink & Paper. Turns out, I hadn't finished that line and was breeding 4th gen Ink to 5th gens. I kept wondering why my pedigree numbers were off. Below is Ink, Paper, and their pup Calligraphy.
Aly & Downpour & Calligraphy are 5th gens.
I was trying to breed two 3rd gens I have Mirrormere & Honey
but I kept getting inbreding somewhere. Turns out, Mirrormere is a litter mate of one of Aly's grandfathers. So I dropped Mirrormere out of the line. (Still keeping him, as he's already SGCh.)
So the rest of the block got filled in with new dalis I just bred with Sindarian words as names. Resulting in Elloth & Eirien.
So this piece-mealed line has 5 5th gen pups:
Aly, Downpour, Calligraphy, Elloth, and Eirien. I actually bred everyone (except the siblings) and tried to decide who to keep that way, but I did get a bit confused doing that. So I probably won't do that again.
In any case, Aly & Calligraphy had Fergenol.
And Downpour & Elloth had Flamedark.
So that's two more 6th gens added to my crew.
I think I'm counting 15 unrelated 6th gen Dalmatians, which doesn't count any petz that were "replaced" by rebred petz (like Florida, Fabrizio, and Fabienne replaced respectively with Florence, Felix, and Felicity.)
I guess if I get to 16 unrelated 6th gens, I could combine them all together and get an ultimate 10th gen litter. I don't think I'll be doing that (at least not for a while). I don't really have an ultimate goal. I just wanted a variety of lines so I could have several unrelated full pedigree 8th gen litters.
Cockapoos!
For Petz Life's OctOWber event, I did the Breeding Challenge: Cozy Sweater Weather. For some reason, in this context, sweaters make me think of petz poodles, so I decided to use two different OWs and attempt to recreate a childhood pet: Dumplin the Cockapoo! (Yes, we also affectionately called him "Dumpy.") I have looked, but I don't think we had a computer or digital camera when he was alive, so no pictures. (Random pic off Google to get a general idea of what he looked like.) I use JT's Poofless Poodle OW and the APKC Cocker Spaniel lab OW found on the Petz Life discord here.
I didn't know which parts I wanted from each dog, but I did start to narrow it down as I went. Spaniel ears and tail (which I didn't get), and poodle head, body, and coat.
There's a bit of variety in size (yep, the doggo on the left is that much bigger than the rest!) even though I started with the larger poodle every in every Adoption Center pair.
I was affected by the small poodle eyes which block out the whites almost completely. The three dogs in the middle of the litter pic have small eyes, the ones I weeded out were smaller still.
I didn't quite recreate Dumplin, but I did create some cute dogs. I will probably put them up on the bazaar later. I'm going to keep the all-over red one on the left.
These guys are 6th gen Non-Inbred Full-Pedigree Poodle/Cocker Spaniel mixes. No extra files needed unless you want to breed more Spaniel into the line, then you'll need the lab OW.
First attempt at Persians with Alley markings? Fail
Despite what Genepoolz says:
There's no marking?
I kept thinking, maybe it's just not showing one parent or the other, but then I was getting both side saying "Alley Cat" markings and the only thing that's visible is the muzzle.
(Both cats are unrelated gen 4s)
Maybe instead of going by GenePoolz, I should be going by what I actually see?
I do have OW files on both of them. Black Mist's Mostly Flealess with Mutating markings for the Alleys and Middlenight's additional colors for the Persians.
I might take the Persian one out and see if that makes any difference. Actually, seeing as how most of the colors on my wish list have cream markings, I might drop back to Kismet's version of the Alley file. Too many variables. 16 without one file, 16 without the other... another 16 to give me 8 4th gens...
Up next, I guess, Mostly Flealess Mutating Alley & OB Persian.
Persian Litter available on The Petz Bazaar
7th generation, PB NIB full pedigree
I opened my Shop at The Petz Bazaar!
I bred some Papillons since that's the breed week that's happening over at WhiskerWick!
6th generation, purebreed Papillons, NIB full pedigree
I've never played with Papillons before, but they're sort of cute. At a glance, I always thought they looked like a cross between a Chihuahua and a frilled lizard. After looking at real life pictures, I see that it's supposed to be ear fluff, not neck fluff. In any case, I bred some puppies and put them on my Petz Bazaar shop!
