i want to try making some sort of final boss enemy like Corruption creature. specifically, its gimmick is not "oh boy! brand new fancy type of corruption!", but a mash up of all the common types of corruption blended so much that it effectively becomes a new type of corruption mechanic. im talking like in one area of the game the enemies eyes are all a vivid color, in another theres spikes of blackness or lightness bursting through their skin. in one area, probably a haunted house or something, the enemies are all possessed versions of the residents. in another area, theyre all mutated objects. in another area, theyve got cracks on their flesh like porcelain, in another, they all look like one specific mini version of something big. in another, they become shades of what they once were. in another, they fuse with their surroundings, and in another, the "Darkness" takes over, although maybe thats just the shades again. and at the top of the tower, or the deepest pit, or the darkest void, there lies a... thing. something so afflicted with corruption, with decay, with rot and darkness and dust and destruction that you cant tell what it used to be before. maybe it never was anything before. its form mutates, rarely ever the same thing it was before. no thoughts, simply a desire for destruction and spreading of disease.
