Raspberry-Glazed Baked Mini Donuts
Raspberry-Glazed Baked Mini Donuts
Please say a prayer for my dear friend, Kristina and her daughter, Paige. Paige has a serious health issue and is going in for her third surgery in a two week period (for a total of 15 or 16). She’s in kindergarten and has missed so much, and Kristina just registered to go back to school. Paige is very uncomfortable, exhausted and they are both ready to come home. So take a minute to say a…

I think she has the eye of the tiger OR an eye on a donut?
I hope you're having the most wonderful time of the year. Tis the season to be jolly tra-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la. (It's been awhile since I've tra-la-laed, and that time I pulled a hammy.) It's a special time for children, and if I have one opinion concerning the younger generation it's simple. Kids today are not into work. If it can't be done in sixty seconds, their not into it. I believe that statement, but I was thrown a curve by my little girl recently. I found out my angel, had entered the schools Spelling Bee. It's a pretty big deal. My wife has taken the day off of work to attend, and my arm has been twisted to be in attendance. I'm impressed. I asked my daughter “Are you that good of speller”? She said she was pretty good. All the students in school watching, parents in the seats, this is set up a lot like the National Spelling Bee. Wow, my daughter has the fire burning inside her for spelling. I've wanted her to be motivated to do something with passion. This is it. From here what's next? I'm thinking Jeopardy Junior with Alex Trebek. So I'm driving my little spelling wizard to school yesterday and I'm talking about the Spelling Bee coming up. I asked if all the kids in the entire school were participating? She said “No, if a kid wanted to be in the spelling bee they had to take a test to see if they were an accomplished enough speller.” So now I'm especially impressed, she volunteered for a test. Just to try and be in this competition. I told her it's great you wanted to be a part of this Spelling Bee so bad. Then she says. “Well I really could have cared less, but they offered Mini Donuts to anyone who took the test”. So she's doing this simply because she couldn't say no to mini-donuts? (that takes a bit of air out of my balloons.) I'm not giving up on her appearing on Jeopardy Junior with Alex Trebek someday. I mentioned to her how I hear in the Green Room of Jeopardy they have mini-donuts.
So I was microwaving some burritos and eating mini-donuts
and wondering how many Tumblr users are going to see that Madagascar movie just because of the Afro Circus meme
And I wonder if the Madagascar people know it's a meme
I'll bet they did that on purpose. I wonder if they pay their employees to make it a meme
I wonder if the whole meme was planned out, staged by those employees
I wonder if the employees are going to go see the movie
They're probably sick of it
I wonder if they're sick of afro circus after all that hard work making into into a tumblr sensation
Then the burritos were done and I realized that I don't actually care.
I needed to type something while my burritos were cooling down.
