“Mini-Kiryu” Project Approved!
Voting for “Mini-Kiryu” is now closed.
The votes have been counted, and the astoundingly unanimous decision was to approve the construction of the 1/50 scale robotic replica of Kiryu for the purposes of mobility and concept design testing.
At 236cm (7′9′’) tall and 720kg (1,587lb), this 1/50 scale Mini-Kiryu will be as large as a brown bear and capable of singlehandedly overturning a large car. It will have strength and durability proportional to its giant counterpart, and will be equipped with non-lethal dummy weapons. The exceptions will be its drill-arm and rocket engines, which will be reproduced in-scale and fully functional so that they may be utilized in testing. Its self-repair systems will not be reproduced, as they will be unnecessary and obstructive on a testing unit. It will be controlled by a sensory I/O relay directly from Kiryu’s AI to best replicate the real behavior of the machine during testing.
Dr. Akamatsu will have the design completed by the end of the week, and construction is scheduled for completion by the 22nd of April.
Thank you for your support.
