I'm such a fucking sentimental fool. I teared up in the Mini-Recap when Tobin spoke about Christen. There's no way in hell I ever thought they'd actually talk about each other in any terms outside of football.

meteor garden 2018: okay, so let’s dissect that “my life is you” part in episode 19 because it was just so good
original post (x)
i love how they were quietly looking out the city at first, because for the first time, it sets the mood for a serious talk between the two of them. finally, they're not bickering or being too dramatic. they're having a conversation.
so, when ahsi started opening up about how he doesn't feel close to his mom, it doesn't seem out of place and sudden. it really feels like he trusts and love her enough to tell her about these things.
for her part, i like that shancai is listening closely to him even if she's not quite sure why he's telling her these things. it's one of those rare moments that she gets to see his serious side (and maybe his weakness as well), which is actually what attracts her to him. you see, we tend to appreciate a person more when they show us their vulnerable side.
then when she asked him why he's telling her these things, i loved how there was a moment of silence first. then he took her hand & just looked at her sincerely & softly & told her "my life is you." those words will definitely land right on.
it was so matter-of-fact, not even as intensely as he usually says things, but it came across. being that she's still unsure of how she feels, i loved how shancai just gently moved away first and let it linger.
instead, she talked about the stars. about how it brings back her precious memories with her dad. ahsi shared something about himself. shancai did too in this instant. it's so beautiful.
i really appreciate these elements that they add to this romantic journey. i loved the quiet gazes, and how he's just so sincerely in love with her. i love that they talk about their feelings.
i love that shancai gets to really say what she feels. she's not sure yet about her feelings. these are new things to her, and she’s in the process of taking things in. he has to accept that. for now, that's all he's going to get.
but, it's great that she can also express whatever that unsure feeling is towards him. the cookies, the kiss, the hug—these are all part of the 'courting' stage, if you ask me. so i won't hold it against her if she accepts his kiss. there’s definitely a part of her that’s attracted to him, otherwise she wouldn’t let him kiss her. she’s just not quite sure how much, and if it’s actually love.
i'm glad that they get to experience the intensity of young love and the kind of confusion that it brings. it's a story i've watched numerous times, but i love the new things that this version brings it, especially to this romance.
i love how this thing is slowly unfolding. i love these two so much.
Spoilers Ahoy!
OK, I just have to blog a little about this episode. I loved it and have so many questions but love getting the answers. This episode gave us a ton more answers about why Underbrooke looks the way it does.
Hades meeting Zelena and declaring they are true love. I honestly do like them as a couple and its interesting to have an evil/wicked couple be true love. It’s been good/good, good/villain, good/now good after being a villain, but to have two bad/bad be TL is interesting.
Zelena showed some shining points this episode in trying to protect her little green bean. (which btw I feel is likely to be Dorothy since they’ve been protecting her name so much. I think that she’s going to be sent away so that she can grow up safe without influence and likely sent back to the past due to some portal.)
Hades explanation of Underbrooke being to give Zelena exactly what her sister had even though he can’t make things grown quite as well as they can in Storybrooke.
The problem is that its hard to believe that he’s not lying. I want to believe he has true intentions but Zelena’s right to trust her gut. Honestly, she called him out stating he needed her for Revenge against his brother.
I can’t imagine being Zelena, feeling so unloved all of her life to only have one of the most powerful men declare his true love for her. It must be so tempting to want it, to need it and she’s strongly pushed back. She’s still wicked and has her own agenda but I can’t help but feel for her.
I was happy that Henry’s pages revealed that little Neal could hear his parents voices. That was comforting to all the Charmings. I am also happy to hear that they are a full unit. Regina sees them all as family and that they went down to save one of their own.
Now if they could just get out of there.
Poor Henry - its like he blacks out and the pages appear. He doesn’t even remember writing the stories or creating the illustrations.
I’m guessing that the tick of the clock was the apprentice moving on since Henry did in fact get the quill and make a good choice. Only because I can’t imagine anyone else being saved.
Now damn.. Rumbelle’s secrets are all out in the open now. Rumple still has magic so I’m not entirely sure what Gaston will be able to do to him in Underbrooke?
I’m happy the Rumple finally told Belle that he could not give up who he was, he will always be that person and she must love him for who he is fully. At least now Belle can make a choice. The choice should never be for a partner to request such a change in the other in order to love them. If you truly love a person you should love and accept them for who they are or else misery is your only future.
