When you got the idea to write this fic… Did you have a basis for the storyline from the beginning to the end in mind, and only then you started writing the chapters, or did you come up with new things from chapter to chapter, not knowing where it would lead or how it would end? Everything looks very consistent and logical, and each line unfolds at the right moment and in a beautiful way.
P.s. I hope you're getting enough rest. Take all the time you need and do everything with pleasure. Love🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hihi! 😊
I had a basic idea for the storyline, very, very basic. I knew I wanted to do an enemies-to-lovers fic, an arranged marriage, and add a plot twist involving betrayal. Once I started writing the chapters, I realized certain things wouldn't pay off unless earlier pieces were set up properly, which led to even more chapters I never planned on, and I tried to make every chapter have meaning or a connection to each one or reveal something new. Most of the time, I was writing in a very instinctive way. Probably not the smartest approach, and I probably should have planned more, but honestly, I was having a lot of fun. Sometimes I feel that it helped with our girl because she was so naive and blind to everything around her that the more we went, it worked because I was learning as I went. Not sure if that makes sense... Also for one example, I never planned on having Sukuna POVs or some kind of backstory for him, but I'm really glad my brain tapped me on the shoulder and said it would probably be a good idea to give him more of a motive and context, etc. and I've ended up really enjoying writing for him even though it becomes harder the further I go to make sure he is in character. Also, that smut POV of his in ch. 42 was a challenge. I think it might be easier to write now that he's not denying anything, but I kind of don't want to go anywhere near that 😅
And thank you so much! I took a bunch of time off work that starts Friday, and I can't wait 😭 I'm going to write and relax, maybe draw. Who knows!
