A big weekend coming up for the operators of the Tamworth Miniature Railway, the Tamworth District Model Engineers Inc (TDME), as the group celebrates its 21st birthday since formation in 1996. This weekend is the annual inter-club event, with enthusiasts and trains from all over NSW visiting for the weekend, including a Grand Parade of trains at 1.30pm on Saturday 17th. Then Sunday is the June public running day from 10am to 3pm, with rides behind a range of local and visiting locos. Rides for all ages just $2, plus the Locomotive Cafe is open for burgers, sausage sizzle and soft drinks. Fine weather is predicted - looks like a big weekend!
