Our #servicedog #superdog board and train, Max the rottie, learning a lesson in #properdogplay from Nola. Nola stays nice and calm, deflects his inappropriate play advances. This guy is pretty much an "upfront and in your face" adrenalized monster right now. There are times he's so strung out that he will stand there and his little rottie nub will just vibrate. Not wag, vibrate off the charts. He's got a lot to learn, about 10 months of catching up to do. Thankfully, he's got three of the best teachers he could ask for. When it comes to teaching proper canine interaction, play, etiquette and leash manners, Lucius, Nola, and Spencer are three of the best. With SuperB and myself backing them up, this team is full of win! Max has a long list of things to work on and overcome. In addition to managing his adrenaline and learning to be an appropriate canine companion: digging, chewing, and chasing birds and airplanes. All of his obedience: solid recall, long sits and downs, walking nicely on a leash without pulling. Being super attentive to the human at the other end of the leash, and ignoring everything else around him. We've got to build a super softness and awareness into him, as well as achieve a calm focused heel. In addition, this little joker is super demanding and pushy. In order to earn his cape here #attheendofyourleash (.com), he's also in much need of some serious crate manners. I've been back-up to the #trifecta (Lu, Nola, and Spencer) via #MiniEducator for the last 45 min.
