Day 5/28 *skiped day four because I didn’t have anything to declutter*
Post anything you like but write about what motivates you to study at the end of the day, when you’re bone tired, and it’s just you and the textbook
When it’s just me and the textbook what really keeps me motivated is the though that I’ve already put so much time an energy into my studies, it would be a shame to waste it by not studying now. Sometimes, I am motivated to study because I really enjoy the subject matter. But, when it’s a class i don’t really like, I get through it because I know I need to finish it.
- Split your reading into smaller chunks over a few days. If you force yourself to read 100 pages in one go, you are going to lose interest and get burned out.
- Reward yourself if you finish your readings. It can be a cup of tea, a cookie, or even a quick walk around; whatever you want.
- Promodo timers really help. When you feel like you can’t get motivated, just do five minutes. I guarantee if you push yourself for those five minutes, you will want to continue. You don’t need to do the traditional promodo timer set-up, you can change it to what works best for you. But, i don’t recommend making the study time less than 25 minutes; you won’t get much done in a shorter time.
