20-27 for any of your ocs
Let’s see, hmm…I’ll ick three, and those three are going to be Draco, Drake, and Krei.
20. Do they consider themselves unloveable?
Draco does, but for a very long portion of Divinity he tries to pretend he doesn’t care about that because he has his crusade to worry about.
Drake knows he is lovable, he just doesn’t like being seen that way by certain people.
Krei actively sees herself as a monster, now that she’s even further twisted into an eldritch being than Darklings already are due to exposure to the Devourers. Fortunate, Wes eventually shows up and the two help work out each other’s “I am impossible to love because I’m too broken/twisted/alien/monstrous” issues.
21. What is something that causes them great anxiety?
For Draco, it’s basically having to sit still. He’s always the guy going “It’s too damn quiet” because to him it’s always unsettling when there’s no fight going on. He’s been hunting demons long enough that he’s used to them coming out of nowhere.
Drake always frets about the safety of the Radianz sisters, particularly Lucina since she’s the one he’s been assigned to protect.
Krei dislikes having to pilot anything that’s not a ground vehicle. Scares her half to death every time she has to do it. Which is why she started getting Wes and Grall to do it half the time.
22. Do they have any mental illnesses?
Draco has PTSD since he, you know, kinda saw his whole village get slaughtered in front of him before he got his arms chopped off with one of the most painful weapons in existence. He tries to hide it, but it’s the source for a lot of his “ALL DEMONS MUST DIE!!!!” rage that he keeps trying to play up.
Drake has PTSD as well, but is actually managing it at this point since it’s been a long, long time since the Hellion Wars ended and he’s actually got a support system around him to help him out.
Krei…Krei has a lot of mental issues. Most of the Space Dragons crew does. They all had their minds ripped apart (by the Devourers) and put back together again (by the dragons), so there are some nasty side-effects. Krei’s major problems stemming from that are depressive and manic episodes.
23. Have they ever been assaulted/abused/raped?
Draco got mutilated, if that counts?
Drake’s in a similar basket, he’s a war veteran, so all his battle scars are from combat, not assault or abuse.
Krei hasn’t been assaulted on a physical level, but if the term “mind rape” ever applied to anything, it’d apply to what the Devourers did to her and the other Stranded while they were stuck floating in space.
24. Do they fear the possibility of being assaulted/abused/raped?
Draco doesn’t. He’s a little too scared he’ll lose his mind completely and end up hurting someone else, actually.
Drake worries not for himself but for Lucina, given who she is and how trusting and innocent she can be at times.
Krei is utterly terrified that she’s going to end up losing her mind again and is going to either eviscerate or violate someone in some way. For a long time, it’s her biggest fear when she and Wes start dancing around the notion of a relationship (granted, Wes has his own fears of screwing up Krei somehow, but that’s mostly because he’s aware of how amoral he can be at times and wants to fix that)
25. Have they ever been betrayed by someone they thought they could trust?
Draco has not. He’s been disappointed, yes, but not betrayed.
Drake has not seen betrayal yet.
Krei got kicked off her homeworld by her mother, so…fair to say she has.
26. Have they ever been seriously injured?
Draco and Drake both have prosthetic limbs due to war injuries, so, uh…yeah.
Krei’s been stabbed a few times as well, but that tends not to be that big a deal for her since she’s a Darkling and can just…heal the wound. Nobody’s actually thought to use explosives against her yet, I suppose…
27. How many times have they been in the hospital?
Uh…well Draco has been in the infirmary a lot, but that’s usually because most people don’t know how fast dragonkin can heal. So people rush him into the infirmary despite him going “Guys, I’m FINE” while they’re busy freaking out because he’s, like, GOT to be in shock after getting stabbed three times, and then the healer takes half a look at him and says “Well none of that blood can be his because he’s right, he IS fine. I don’t see any of these stab wounds y’all are talking about. Get him the hell out of my face, I have actual people that have actually been stabbed and are dealing with actual stab wounds to deal with.” And then Draco walks off, grumbling about “stupid humans” and their lack of a healing factor.
Drake has avoided any major hospital visits for himself, but he has been to the hospital to care for Lucina and Eilya when they’ve done stupid stuff in their childhood that ended in broken bones. (He brought them balloons both times.)
Krei…doesn’t really need a hospital? She’s made up of energy from the Void and is therefore kind of a shapeshifter of sorts, so if she gets injured it’s just a matter of figuring out how to regain that energy. Which is usually through rest.
