standardized orthography for minionese
a follow-up to my last post before i continue i would like to ask the good lord to forgive me for committing this gravest of sins great now on to the orthographic rules keep in mind this is still in development! -a stressed vowel is indicated by writing it twice. in words with one syllable, the vowel is only written once -spelling is phonemic (one letter to one sound) -consonants: b, c (ch), d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, r, s, t, v, w, x (sh), y, z -vowels: a, e, è (schwa), i, o, u, ù (like german ü) example words and phrases: -bananaa (banana) -palatuu (for you) -poopi (puppy) -bèt (butt) -pankyuu (thank you) -beloo (hello) -pupaay (goodbye) -biido (fire) -jelatuu (ice cream) -kanpaay (cheers) -pooka (a little bit) -pokaa (what) -baapèl (apple) -si (yes) -hanaa, du, se (1, 2, 3) -ti aamo (i love you) -babooy (toy) -casii (chair) -pulee (chicken) -labooda (wedding) -epii (and) -setuu (that’s it) -bootom (bottom)
