McDonalds is a soulless corporation. It's highly subsidized by the federal government (the real evil 'socialism' in America) and makes billions a year, while paying it's workers slave wages. Conservatives, why do you care? Simple, if the minimum wage is raised to a living wage, then millions of Americans (McDonalds/other fast food workers) will make too much and be kicked from governmental assistance. Meaning anywhere from 30%-50% of Americans on foodstamps would be instantly making more, and lose their dependence on the federal government. Saving billions each year in federal dollars; which could be used to balance the budget easily. Call it class warfare, or socialism, or anything you like, it's time greed dies in the plutocracy of America and common sense takes over; giving rebirth to our democracy. Also conservatives with these McDonalds workers making more (when they become richer), they can pay slightly more in taxes, easing the tax burden on the 'super rich', which in turn would make McDonalds corporation and McDonalds franchises more money, because they don't have to pay as much in. Everyone wins with common sense! The rich get richer until the poor get educated.
