A first proper look at the content added
After editing all the posts & formatting them all into columns, I looked through it all as a set. I noticed instantly that the images are way too big - they need compressing & also resizing so they’re all the same width in size.
I also need to get a go-ahead about using some more content from my portfolio from previous employers asap.
This is something I'll continue to expand through my spare time
Using ShortCodes to format
Using the columns shortcode I formatted my text into two so that it splits up the line length and makes it a much quicker, simpler read. When in mobile this just drops to one collum.
First Scroll - Title Page
Rolling the coral colour through to the arrows for consistency.
Creating a Header Image
Because I’ve realised no agencies show their work in their hero/headers then I felt I needed to make a decorative visual that’s still relevant to my own practice.
I chose the Pantone of the year, so that it stays current, also it's a colour that crops up in my own design a lot. I then just created some 3D sqwigglez for a bit of extra decoration.
SHKRET Site - Heavy Animations
looking through this I found I really love the colours, however, because the site is so over-designed its actually very laggy, maybe some more subtle animations would be better for my own site.
Illustrative continuous Web Design
Very similar to the previous post, this is just a separate take on the navigation of the site. The viewer is intrigued by the continuation of the illustrative background, therefore scrolling further & seeing more web content. I feel this is a quite important thing to have throughout the site, a constant interest throughout for the user.
