not too long ago I posted the lineart of this but I was never satisfied with coloring attempts. this past week I took another stab at it and I'm much happier this time, even though it's not perfect it's still a major upgrade from what I had initially tried.

this moment of koujaku, mink, and aoba nesting comes to you courtesy of theskee's "Tamer Animals", one of my favorite DMMd fics of all time. They are so good at putting images in my head and this one stuck out particularly to me; I drew it while they were writing it, but it took this long for the colors to come together. please go read it.

I'm working on stuff but at a glacial pace, so have a bunch of WIPs from this and last month in various stages of completion (alt text has info on each one)

for those curious: clip studio paint, on my ipad, using the artemus pencil set which has been a godsend. coloring is still my nemesis, but I have had fun going back to my roots with the pencil art. I'd still love to do commissions in this style, but there hasn't been any interest, so hey at least there's no queue... (pls let me draw for you)

I couldn't remember if I'd posted this, but I went back through my archive and didn't see it, so what the heck. Koujaku/Mink/Aoba, nesting in a moment of vulnerability, from theskee's masterpiece Tamer Animals. I've read and re-read it more times than I can remember, and I drew this as it was being posted because they keep putting all the images straight into my brain. (remember, read the tags: it is omegaverse and I'm proud to say I was a tiny bit of the inspiration for it with "Blue".)

anyway I keep thinking about trying to color it in some way that'll work, and I keep wanting to redo Koujaku's hair bc it just doesn't look right to me, so... maybe one of these days.

A few WIP sketches, from twitter and elsewhere. I never know which ones will catch me enough that I finish them, but I generally find that I like the rough sketches so much more... anyway, there’s Koujaku and Aoba (not kissing for once), Ren and Haruka and Tokiya because why not have the queen with my men, and Aoba/Koujaku/Mink in what is obvs my DMMd OT3.

I'm still having issues posting more than one image and rearranging them in a grid, but fortunately I haven't finished much to post. Here's a thing that came out of my brain while I was thinking about writing a Mink/Koujaku/Aoba fic set after the Mink good ending. OK, I lied, I'm not just thinking about it, it has 4000 words right now but I really want to get more done on the Jotakakyo a/b/o arranged marriage fic first. Priorities, you know.

when thinking about minkouao I like to headcanon him a little closer in age to aoba than i normally do simply for the fact that when mink hears koujaku is in his mid 20s and not late 30s he has to take pause because stress has AGED koujaku

mink, aoba, and koujaku are my favorite dmmd characters so naturally I ship them together as an ot3 but apparently it's so rare tho wtf
