honestly one of the most inexplainable things to me regarding the js' relationship is the minncon hand thing like???? what??? can we pls talk about that more? i need some discourse on that hand holding subject 🤔

mmm, I mean, I don’t put the hand-thing at the top of the inexplainable list because I think it’s easy to explain, to understand the emotional and physical intimacy of those two, but because it’s so fun to look at and such a lovely set to observe, let’s do it anyway ♥

*flashback to MinnCon 2015, August 23*

it’s the last question of a long con weekend, and Jared has been his lovely self and escorted our last questioner to the stage. Richard teases, then leaves it to the boys (who do their usual stick-the-microphone-in-the-person’s-face-and-it’s-ridiculous bit) as the questioner asks them “If Misha were not on the show, how would that impact you guys?” to which there’s only more teasing. Jared keeps a steady left hand on the girl’s shoulder the entire time. and as the teasing continues, Jensen’s hand suddenly manages to sneak its way around the girl’s shoulder and to lock fingers with Jared’s hand as we can see. there was nothing serious going on, truly, the entire question was all done in a completely joking way, yet this moment takes over everything because. what the hell is it? 

now, I’m trying to remember the highlights of MinnCon that year; Matt kept talking about Jensen’s mouth (ofc), Jensen grabbed fuzz off of Jared’s chin, Jared brought up Jensen’s bowlegs, Jensen’s-pretend-shorterm-memory came to play, Jared cutely put his head on Jensen’s shoulder, Jensen made a lot of hearteyes at Jared, Jensen fangirled over their talking at the same time, Jared made hearteyes at Jensen, Jared made a lot of thrusty motions on stage while trying to imitate some stunt gone wrong (it looked v dirty), Jensen got real about Sam and Dean and the show and when asked if there was anything he would change he said there wasn’t a thing, he got even more real when they were asked who they loved to work with besides each other and still managed to answer only each other, Jared yelled “hug me!” at Jensen, Tahmoh said the most beautiful thing regarding Jensen and Jared’s relationship, and and and. so much. but nothing that seemed to “trigger” the hands. and that’s maybe even more telling because they didn’t need a reason to do that, they didn’t need high emotion to find each other, they just. did. 

I think it’s beautiful and really a great look at the physical and emotional intimacy they share
