- Félix Gutiérrez, speaking at "Voices for Justice: 200 Years of Latino Newspapers in the U.S." an event sponsored by the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The comment immediately made me think of the Twin Cities Runoff's monthly "Community News Roundup," one of the best and most informative things going in local media.

If you want to know what's going on in the Twin Cities, you have to read the class media.

Found a new model for my knit wear.

I honestly don’t think people dress up the John Sargent Pillsbury monument on campus nearly enough. I liked the neon green shades they put on him for the last homecoming, but I always look at him and say to myself “he could use a hat”. Somebody make this happen.

I couldn't agree more! I've only seen J.S. with a road cone hat (ala the Glasgow's Duke of Wellington) a couple of times. The one above was Dec. 18, 2008. Now would be a great time to start such a tradition, considering the number of available road cones around campus...
