its so strange how people keep talking about how small business are affected by this. While I also think it’s terrible to target a small business, I just think that it’s so weird how rich CNN reporters keep making points about how heartbreaking it is to see them get looted... and conservatives do the same thing as well and made similar points about Covid...

And yet, historically, these have been the very same entities that tended to work for the interests of corporations rather than small businesses... They’re also the ones who were taking those loans meant for small business when the covid crisis funds became available for small businesses.

it’s almost as if... they don’t actually care about small businesses like they claim to and they’re just using them to sway public opinion on the riots and demonize protesters for corporate profit???

and if the rumors that cops were the one instigating violence and looting are true then it almost seems like this was a set up from the beginning and that the “this hurts small businesses” angle was premeditated in order to curb public opinion the the protests. We certainly know that similar tactics were used in other such events in american history.

maybe the rich should take a look at themselves and their relationships with corporate entities before they talk about worrying about small businesses because they didn’t seem too worried about them until they weren’t the ones doing the looting anymore.
