4. Movie of the year?

I really haven't seen enough movies this year to make anything like a qualified judgement. I haven't seen Ladybird. I haven't seen The Florida Project or I, Tonya or Call Me By Your Name or anything really.

Of the ones that I saw this year, my favorite is probably Baby Driver, but the Movie of the Year was probably Get Out. (All I can think about right now is The Last Jedi but it's too early to fit that into things)

5. TV show of the year?

It's a toss up between Crazy Ex Girlfriend (which is having its most important season so far right now) or The Good Place which is the most inventive fun show on television right now.

6. Episode of tv or webisode that defined the year for you?

Episode 8 of Twin Peaks: The Return. I can't think of a more exhilarating thing I've seen all year.

25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one.

Okay so technically I created this character  at the very end of LAST YEAR but the actual comic came out this year so it counts: I think the thing I'm proudest of is an anxious centaur living in NYC who is so uncomfortable with the amount of space she takes up because she's so large but the city is so cramped. Like that's a metaphor that resonates with me so much. Just the feeling that you're not allowed to take up space or that you take up too much space and the discomfort with one's own body. And that I started with her to tell a hopeful story about long distance relationships and made my best friends cry in the process because I wrote a love story about them and it's a lot okay?

10. Do you think your life will change dramatically before 2014?

It changed dramatically during 2014. That’s the year I moved to NYC and started grad school and everything. That’s the year I finally got to hang out with you guys in person.

Is my life gonna change dramatically before 2018? Doubt it. But who knows?
