MOCA Minute Pilot Program
A journal reviewer for the publication Anesthesiology, Dr. Bruce Hugh Dorman received an MD from Duke University and a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Possessing more than three decades of experience teaching and administering anesthesia, Bruce Hugh Dorman, MD, currently holds board certification with the American Board of Anesthesiology. In 2014, the American Board of Anesthesiology launched a pilot program called the MOCA Minute. The online platform aims to help diplomates enhance their comprehension of materials found on the cognitive examination, which tests skills, knowledge, and judgment. A free service, the MOCA Minute pulls the most commonly missed questions from the MOCA exam and posts them on the website for participants to answer. Regardless of answer choice, the correct selection is displayed alongside additional materials and resources that support the topic. Following 2015, the American Board of Anesthesiology expects to release the educational tool to all diplomates, dependent on positive results and feedback.
