Miny- Mixtape Review
I've heard a lot of people say that "white female" rappers are just a trend, just a phase that they are hoping to go away. For the most part, I also agree but once I stumbled upon the Phoenix artist Miny, I was blown away by her versatility. Mixing genres and seeming to sing most of her own hooks and choruses, I was instantly interested in learning more about her music. Something that stood out to me is the fact that most of her beats aren't the tradition rap/ hiphop beats. There seems to be a mixture between pop and hiphop in this mixtape, as if she's a cross between a Nicki Minaj and a more positive Jhene Aiko.
One of the best songs on the mixtape is called "Naive" ft. Vee Tha Rula. With the catchy chorus and intricate sexy beat, both Miny and Vee Tha Rula have hit gold with this song.
Favorite lines-
I know you’ve seen things, I know we need things Don’t wanna question every single time your phone rings So picking up where we left off No looking back at the next stop

Overall I give this mixtape a solid A-. I think Miny seems to be growing as an artist and I'm excited to see what's next from this Arizona native. Hopefully she won't fall down the ignorant path that so many other female artist have done before her.
