the older people mistaking asexual for having no gender may have been because in some places it used to mean the same as what agender means now! (as in it meant "sexual" as in "relating to the sexes" whereas now "sexual" refers to "sexuality") and during that time often the term for aces would have been nonsexual! it certainly made looking for old asexual related news articles hard! XD but it's just another way that our language for lgbtq+ experiences is growing!

but yeah, don't put too much stock in prefixes. things change. e.g. the prefix of december means ten because it used to be the tenth month, but now it's the twelfth.

it’s so funny that you linked that post, because it’s the exact one that I was just pissed off about lmao. at least, the addition to the op. because the whole “the purple stripe means attraction to non-binary genders” is.........questionable. that’s not the meaning that the creator of the flag gave. I know things can change, but I did do some searching on that topic, and didn’t find anything where the meaning of the flag changed.

so like, “history is important” is a weird thing to say when you’re spreading false information??? especially when you’re spreading false information to invalidate/put down pansexuality. I’ve seen people posting screenshots of that addition with the caption “bi included non-binary before pan even existed”. and it’s just.....fucking annoying. the superior, snide comments about bi existing longer than pan just piss me off. when a label was coined doesn’t fucking mean it’s more or less legitimate. like, get over yourselves and stop punishing an entire community for a select group of people’s misunderstandings. but whatever, that’s not even the topic at hand. sorry for the rant lmao.

so, yeah, I guess that’s been what bi means for a while now, but the whole prefix thing and people still not being aware of the fact that there are more than two genders makes people assume it just means two/men and women.

@writteninlucidink not sure if you got an answer, but if not, it's blurry because the second row is originally much smaller than the image in the top row! So tumblr automatically resizes them both to be the same size to fit on the dash and it becomes blurry because resizing pixel are needs to be done without interpolation to keep the crisp edges, unlike most other digital images, so resizing it /with/ interpolation makes it blurry.

I find pages on the dash and on blogs themselves work very nicely but asks+follower related pages are very glitched. I think the slow load problem might be the cache rather than the pages themselves. I don't know the specifics but a site I use had a problem like this because the coding caused info to add up in the server making it load slower as you go through. Closing the browser and reopening usually fixes it well enough though only temporarily. Tumblr should definitely do something about it!

I think you’re right about there being a difference between the dashboard interface and the style for one’s actual blog when others visit it. I suppose that’s reason enough to disable endless scroll (though there are those who have commented specifically that they liked that I do endless scroll, so I don’t know if this is the best change). I’ll look at it and see what I can do. Thanks!
