One of my fav loan words is "missata" (puhekieli tho) . I suppose it comes from english "to miss" , but the meaning is slightly changed. You can say "missasin bussin" = "i missed the bus" but absolutely NOT "missaan mun eksää" =???. Other correct examples would be "missasin jääkiekkofinaalin" or "älä missaa huomisen luentoa".
Iâve noticed this one too! It was a bit confusing at first.
For example, âI missed the busâ would be something like âMinä en ehtinyt bussiinâ.
