Miracle Jackson, 16, In Court To Face Double Murder Charges
BAKERSFIELD, CA - Miracle Jackson, 16, made her first court appearance yesterday to face charges from a double murder at a medical marijuana shop in July.
According to court documents, Jackson and 32-year-old Aaron Patrick Burris entered First Reliable Marijuana Collective on July 17 intent on robbing it. Burris pulled out a gun while Jackson ran out to their car to grab rags and pillow cases.
While Jackson was outside, Burris chased the store owner, 55-year-old Tony Conrad Sherman, and shot the man three times. Burris then instructed 23-year-old employee, Devin Daniels, to start removing marijuana from the display shelves and money from the register.
Jackson had returned to the store but was unable to get to the sales area because of a security gate that had activated. After trying the door several times, she used the rags she’d retrieved from the car to wipe down counters and the door in an attempt to remove her and Burris’s fingerprints.
Burris shot Sherman a fourth time, then shot Daniels in the head after he had given Burris the weed and money he had demanded. Burris and Jackson then left the store, got into their vehicle and fled the area.
The entire incident was caught on surveillance video.
Burris was arrested about a week later. At the same time, police arrested five other men on suspicion of being accessories and participation in a criminal street gang. Jackson wasn’t apprehended until Aug. 8, after she was located in Las Vegas.
Miracle pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges on Thursday. She will be back in court in September.
Tonight I remembered about Miracle Jackson for some reason. Enjoy.
