Snow Takes Over in Savannah Georgia
January 3rd, 2018 was the day that our little small town experienced snow for the first time in twenty-nine years. Snow was everywhere. It was absolutely breathtaking. The people of Savannah were in amazement. Many of us, such as myself had never experienced snow before, so this was what I would call, a miracle from God. Everyone was filled with joy and smiles covered everyone’s faces. As for myself, I just could not get over the fact that it had snowed in my little hometown. My mom kept laughing at me because every time we walked outside, the only words that would come out of my mouth was, “This is AMAZING!” And it truly was amazing. Many people would call it the best day ever and in my book, it came pretty close. It was as if time had came to a pause. We all were stuck in doors because us Savannah people had no idea how to drive in these weather conditions. Everyone had came out into the streets to admire the the winter wonderland. The first Wednesday of 2018 was the day that joy had spread all over Savannah Georgia and gave hope to many of us that 2018 was going to be our year.
God gives us all kinds of miracles and on January 3rd, 2018 that’s exactly what he had done. Most people in the world would not see a snow day as a miracle simply because they experience snow days year round, however for some of us, we were left in amazement. A miracle from God can be seen from all kinds of perspectives, therefore a simple smile or hello can go along way for those who cherish people’s happiness such as myself. I believe that God gives us miracles to see the hopefulness and happiness within us. I also believe that he would want us to take that feeling of happiness and spread it to others. The coming of Jesus was a miracle in it’s self and we need to cherish that and be able to tell people of His magnificent love He has for us. This unique snow day that our small town experienced is just one way in which God has blessed us and given us a day in which I believe no one in Savannah, Georgia will forget!
Love your’s truly, Rachel
