There were times when Pogue regretted the necessity of keeping up appearances. Fixing his arm should have been easily done, but regular hospital check ups and (somehow, mysteriously) all the other kids at school knowing he’d been in an accident meant that he was having to heal the non-magical way and it was turning out to be a slow and painful process. Not to mention irritating.

The fact it was his left arm and he was left-handed? Well, that just made it all more annoying. Still, it wasn’t like he ever took notes anyway. He sank into his seat, pulling his books closer and then resting his forehead against them. Maybe Reid would be mad that he was using his bit but he was just so damn tired. He huffed out a soft breath, fingers twitching irritably underneath his cast.
