New Beginnings I Miranda&Ethan
Miranda was about to start a new chapter in her life. A very important one and after everything she’d been through, she was looking forward to some normality. She was both very excited and nervous about the changes. Moving to the US made sense, as she was determined to pursue her model career while finishing her studies and although she’d miss her family terribly, she needed some distance. Everything back home reminded her of the events she wanted to forget about. Her boyfriend recently joined a famous soccer team and despite their rocky relationship, he convinced her to move in together.
Unlike him, she had never seen their new house before, but despite her looks she didn’t give much about superficial and material stuff anyway. Miranda had just arrived by plane this morning and unfortunately she would have to deal with the majority of the moving by herself since her other half was out of town for an event.
As soon as she arrived at the address, she already saw the moving boxes right in front of the driveway. Apparently the moving company just left them there. Sighing, she opened the door and looked around first. It was a nice house and now she was really getting excited to unpack and get settled. Just when she went for the first box, one of her new neighbors didn’t even give her the chance to introduce herself first, as he already cursed and demanded for her to get rid of this mess before he called the police on her. Trying to force a smile, she apologized politely and promised to take care of it right away. The older man took off without so much as a goodbye.
Easier said than done for the petite, young girl, considering the boxes had at least half of her own body weight. But it needed to be done and she didn’t know anyone she could have asked for help, so she picked the first one up and tried to maneuver it towards the house. without being able to see anything as it completely blocked her sight. Two steps later she hit something - or more like someone by the sound of it. “Oh my god, I’m so, so sorry! I didn’t see you.” Quickly setting the box down, she flashed her brightest smile - unintentionally but automatically at the view of the very tall and handsome guy in front of her. “Are you okay? My apologies for hitting on you! ”
