Shepard princess carries a wounded but alive Miranda all the way from Sanctuary to the med bay and then again up to his room once she's cleared for outpatient recovery.

Upon hearing of it Jack begins to call her Shep's “Precious Cerberus Princess.” Whether it's meant as a tease or an insult depends on Jack's mood. He lets it slide. She barely does..

In retaliation Shep consciously starts a habit of kissing Miri's hand when he feels like it. It drives Jack up the wall. Oriana can barely contain herself.

I'm really into the idea of Miranda as first girl.

Spacer Shep met her during a dinner party thrown by the Alliance for its civilian contractors (Henry Lawson was a fixture since he's one of the biggest).

Earthborn Shep worked as a waiter during that same party and figured in a minor incident involving her and a particularly aggressive suitor.

Colonist Shep's childhood sweetheart in Mindoir who died defending the colony during the raid was just like her, aloof, brilliant with raven hair and snow white skin. It wasn't out of surprise that Shep's eyes dilated the way they did when he first saw her at Lazarus Station.

As early as ME2 John Shepard asked Mordin to find a cure for Miranda,s sterility. It was finished just before Priority Tuchanka.

After he rescues her and Oriana from Sanctuary, he asks Dr. Michel (Dr. Chakwas was safer with Hackett) to covertly perform the procedure while she's patching Miranda up.

It may be their last chance together so after securing some 20-odd hours of "free time" from Hackett he convinces her to get married in a private, impromptu ceremony aboard the Normandy.

The whole crew attends. Joker officiates. The ring he gives Miranda is slightly hollowed out and contains hair samples from both of them preserved inside.

During the exchange of vows he tells her how much she means to him, in the crapsack world that he has lived in since the Batarians attacked Mindoir her coming became his second lease on life, literally (she resurrected him after all) and figuratively.

He's had friends, and he values his crew like his family, but he never really had anyone to share all of himself with until she came along.

Subconsciously Garrus pulls Tali closer.

It was supposed to be just a human ceremony but Garrus and Tali insisted on holding and officiating a Turian and Quarian ceremony. Wrex and Eve are slightly offended and extract a promise from the couple to do them the honor of officiating a krogan one in the future. Not a peep from Liara.

During the reception in the hangar, as a joke Joker arranges for the couple's first dance fully expecting Shep to screw it up but for Miranda to save him.

Turns out Shepard is a terrible dancer when he's alone, but when he's leading and supporting Miranda in a Disney waltz he's friggin amazing and the whole room falls silent as the two dance.

At first Liara can't appreciate the nuances because Asari mindmeld and the physicality is a bit baffling. But when Shep suddenly lifts Miranda by the waist and twirls her around causing both of them to laugh like they're in their own little world, it clicks.

While all are entranced, she grows more melancholic. With every brush and every twirl and every look, tiny waves of jealousy and regret wash over Liara at refusing Shep's offer back in ME2 to join the crew.

No-one in your life is with you constantly, No-one is completely on your side, And though I'd move my world to be with him, Still the gap between us is too wide,

Looking back, (Looking back) I could have played it differently, (I could have played it some other way), Learned about the man, Before I fell (I was just a little careless) But I was ever so much younger then, (Maybe, so much younger then) Now at least I know I know him well

The crew had never seen him so happy. In the few hours that she and Oriana have been there the mood aboard just lifts.

During the brief “honeymoon” in his cabin, Shepard desperately pleads with Miranda to stay safe and under the radar. When she asks why he's suddenly being like this, he answers:

“Because I would let the universe burn for you, Miri.”

Before she leaves she redecorates the Captain's Cabin and leaves a pendant with her holophoto in it. He wears it along with his dog tags.

Miranda nervous about meeting The Mother-in-Law for the first time, only to find the Shepard matriarch actually remembers her as a child. Henry Lawson was part of the Alliance Military Industrial Complex after all. 

“Henry’s daughter? This is a new level of luck, even for you.” 

She wasn’t referring to Henry’s fortune or reputation, she remembers witnessing an incident when Henry lowkey humiliated Miranda at a dinner party for getting second place at an equestrian competition. 

In there she witnessed the full extent of his megalomania and was impressed with the pride, dignity and incredible grace under pressure the preteen Miranda displayed.

Miri had nothing to worry about. :)

PS: Yes she knows about Cerberus. No she doesn’t care. She didn’t raise her son to be a bigot and frankly he’s earned his happiness several times over.

Liara slowly losing her mind as Male Shep demonstrates over and over again throughout ME3 how Miranda has usurped her place in his life: prioritizing her mission with her dad, photos of her in his quarters, Joker having her on speed dial to keep Shep from going off the deep end, Shep telling her in the presidium how much he's looking forward to settling down with Miranda after the war. 

Aetheyta trying to get Liara to give up on him because apparently all of Thessia knows and it's not a good look. Aria telling her to snap out of it because asari just aren't Shep's type, Shep refusing her mind meld just before the end.

A post-destroy ending where Miranda finds out she's pregnant with twins and Shepard post-humously declares her his wife and official next of kin.

She gets his name, dog tags, and all of his property including significant holdings all over the Attican Traverse especially his home colony of Mindoir. The Alliance has also given her control of her father's still-significant assets as his only known surviving heir.

She finds a graybox in the house in Mindoir that Shepard recorded for her and the twins who he just knew were inside her. The encryption key is in his dog tags.

Basically Miranda wins because Liara snoozed in ME2.
