All this year's drawings that I did for the KazureiWeek2024 (Which I did a month ahead without knowing 'cause I'm a clown)
Rei, desperately fighting to keep his daughter.
Rei, the man who reluctantly agreed to be Miri's father, the one finding any reason for her to stay with her papas.
Rei, the man who was a robot and never showed any emotion now enraged to learn that the mother who abandoned his daughter is now demanding to take her back, blackmailing them with the knowledge of their employment.
Rei, the man who, just a year ago, wasn't even properly equipped to take care of a cat.
Rei, the man who now adores and loves Miri and doesn't want to lose her and is falling apart inside at having to let her go.
Rei, who, alongside Kazuki, put aside their selfish desires to keep Miri in their custody and instead released her to her mother for her own safety, knowing now that there was a target on their backs that could get themselves and Miri killed. And while not the most ideal scenario, it was her best option.
Rei, who learned to be selfless as Miri's father. The man who learned what it meant to love and be loved. The man who built a family and changed for the better, in a way he never thought possible for himself.
I'll never shut up about how heartbroken I am over this episode. If they don't find their happiness with Miri again I'm never trusting another anime again.
Since no one else was gonna say it…
Miridads but as Bluey
From hate to love there is always a step 🪜💕

he is… human? so damn weird creature that fits inside cabinets or will likely travel accross the apartment through the shadows
Rei now overflowing with emotion and struggling to keep them in check because his daughter made him a changed man and he’s FIGHTING FOR HER.
The URGENCY in his voice when he called Kazuki? Like damn I love this man sm
an update nobody asked for on this wip - trying to be positive and remind myself this is my first time doing a pose like this so of course it’ll be difficult and the more I work at it the better it’ll get 🥲
They're wrapped around her finger.
I love how every time Miri offers to share her food, Kazuki gets super emotional because she's so kind and such a great kid.
Without hesitation he always takes her up on her offer - even when she's offering him dumplings made of sand. Anything to make her happy.
In this episode we see Rei really become more expressive with his emotions. He smiles so naturally in this episode, in spite of the circumstances, because he's happy and wants to enjoy his time with his daughter - with his family - and have no regrets about their time together.
When Miri offers him a bite after Kazuki has already taken one we see him hesitate.
But when he sees her smiling face he can't help but to give in. He loves her so much and takes the bite (INDIRECT KISS INDIRECT KISS) and smiles at her following.
I know that with a target on their backs Miri's safest option is with Misaki right now. But I'm still heartbroken and am holding out hope that they will destroy the organization and get Miri back.
I never would have guessed when I started this show that I'd grow so attached to this found family in such a short period of time. I thought I was starting a fun little comedy and here I am 2 days later still heartbroken and so fucking sad about episode 10. These men deserve happiness and I want so badly for their happiness to be together as a family with Miri. I know all of the fluff episodes are gone for this season (assuming they pick up another season which god, I hope they do) but I don't want to believe that we'd get 9 episodes of (mostly) lighthearted content for it to end on such a low note.
I have like 18 more drafts about this episode alone so lol I could go on and on.
