12/12/12+12/13/12= LUCKIEST DAYS!
So here we go.. We have this Christmas Party for the Missionaries of Charity on Dec. 19. We need to raise fund, and we were assigned to at least have a quota of P5000 each group. What we've decided to do is: 1.) magcaroling; 2.) magsolicit; 3.) magtinda. Because we saw that the other sections are actually selling snacks, we settled for SOLICITATION AND CAROLING.
CAROLING- okay, this was super fail! but super fun! Last week, [i can't remember the date], we tried to do it. Result was, we we're instructed to go home!!! haayy. Nevertheless, while walking home. We agreed to carol one house. We did! and we got P20.00!! It's very overwhelming! The feeling was indescribable! Terrific indeed! We tried to do it again but we got nothing and so we went to eat at a certain "GOTOHAN" and went home. :")
SOLICITATION- the HARDEST thing we did! :P Yes it is! 'cause if you are about to think what it's gonna be like... it's like asking for alms in street. We we're like BEGGARS. But despite of those thoughts, we did it because it is and it will be for the Charity. We started handling out solicitation letters to different people we know. Barangay Captain, Principal, Assistant Principal, Mayor, Vice Mayor, Parish Priests, Parents, and even the Archbishop! (see? we don't even know if we still have the guts to face them again. haha)
12/12/12- we we're half way to completing our quotaaaa!! wohooo! Thanks to the Assistant Principal of our old school!! :"> we gave letters to each of the 3 Parish Priests yesterday and we were asked to go back today! Unfortunately, the priests weren't available a while ago. But it's okay. We totally understand. :")
12/13/12- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR SWIFT!! :D aside from that event, one more special thing happened today!! I was tasked to talk to Archbishop Socrates Villegas and hand one solicitation letter. My heart went tugudug-tugudug-tugudug. AS IN! I was accompanied by Nessa, Yvonne, Jerick, and Gretchen. We sat in the living room (i guess there's another term but i cannot really reckon..) and waited to be approached by the Secretary. Few minutes after, we can't wait anymore. I was busy talking to Jerick when Fr. Soc passed by and went upstairs! My, my, my!!! tugudug-tugudug-tugudug! We waited for him to return. When that time came, Nessa and I rushed trough him!
Me and Ness: Father!!
Fr. Soc: [turns] Oh, Yes?
Me and Ness: [nag-bless kay Father]
Me: [hiding behind the little envelope] umm, hihingi po sana kmi ng tulong for the Christmas Party po na gagawin namin. *smiles
Fr. Soc: [gets the envelope] Saan?
Nessa: Sa Missionaries of Charity po..
Fr. Soc: anong klaseng tulong ang kailangan nyo?
Me and Ness: uhm, financial assistance po sana. :)
Fr. Soc: Magkano ba ang kelangan nyong iraise?
Me and Ness: [turned to each other]
Me: uhm, P5000 po and quota namin.
Fr. Soc: and ilan na ang na-raise nyo? :)
Me and Ness: mga P3000 plus na po...
Fr. Soc: pakihawak.. [passed the letter to Ness; hands P2000 to us] oh ayan, quota na kayo ah.. X))
Me and Ness: *speechless! ohh myyy... [kulang na lng yakapin namin si Father] thank you po! thank you po Father! thank you po!!
Fr. Soc: Okay, okay.. your welcome! X))
So there! we've completed our quota! YEAH! thanks for the generous people we encountered! we'll never forget your kindness! :") <3 wohooo! i'm just so happy!
