Thinking about Kirika's letter to Mireille and how much I love the use of simple language to convey great depths of emotion. To take a story with so much romantic tension and lay those feelings bare just hits so hard.

The rawness of simply saying "It frightened me, and it hurt" with no reservations is devastating.

Add to that her inability to overcome her fear about saying "I love you" and instead simply thanking her for everything makes me soooooo emo like...the need to bridge that gap they just can't quite close absolutely kills me
