The nun flicked the lighter a few times before it would turn on, holding the flame to the gem-shaped bowl to light the weed packed inside. Baddel inhaled slowly, savoring the taste of the smoke as the contents of the bowl glowed warmly before she removed the tip of the pipe from her lips and exhaled lazily. A sluggish cloud of smoke drifted from between her lips and out her nostrils, hanging in the air above them for a moment or two before the breeze from picked up and swept it away from the back of the pick-up truck balcony they sat in.
“So... You are a Lapis Lazuli, yes?” She said, starting to feel the first tingling sensations of her high set in and cover her mind in a thin layer of fuzzy static and white noise. “It as been a while since I last saw one of your kind.” The umber gem held the glass pipe out to the blue skinned gem, offering her a toke of it. “Sorry to hear about how you came to be here, though.”

Jasper stood, waist deep in the lake waters, tipping her head to gnaw on a corruption spike, purely by developed habit. She stared the other down, peering towards the sands with a displeased expression. Something brushed by her boot, and her stance shuttered and dissolved into splashing around and attempting to locate it. Her frustration became accented as she groaned again, louder, more akin to a roar than anything less.
“There’s no point of us being here if you don’t get in. It doesn’t even smell like salt. And there’s something weird in here.” She cast her gaze around the waters, mostly clear, apart from the dirt she stirred up, shielding whatever creature lie in the depths from her sight. It made it seem deeper, despite being at the waist, and anxiety began to rise. She tried to dispel it by picking a claw at her teeth and looking around. A quiet forest clearing, on a sunny day in lukewarm water. It wasn’t... so bad. Deer seemed entirely fine with her presence, and the longer they stayed there, the more members of the small herd came to drink at the edges and stare at her with their twisting ears and horned curvatures. She liked how their soft fluffs of tail waggled, but it did not distract her from the sense of isolation. Again, though her brows were pressed down, she looked imploringly at the other.

32. Thoughts on material possessions in general?
Before the War and the Sisterhood’s fall from grace, the doctrine of the Sisterhood wasn’t outright against material possessions. But it did warn against hoarding and weighing oneself down with both material and spiritual burdens, cautioning members of the Sisterhood to be frugal in such things lest they fall victim to the same temptations of excess that brought about the fall of the Firstborn.
Post-war, Baddeleyite does keep a sizable collection of artifacts, trinkets and relics from her time on Earth in the Mountain Temple. Though she has been careful never to keep too much, often donating/gifting/ritually disposing of parts of her collection to ease her burdens. Though there are a few key parts of her collection she will never part with due to their sentimental value to her.
These include (but not limited to):
A crystal Lexicon containing the teachings of Grey Topaz the Lesser.
A holo-message containing Abbess Blue Jade’s farewell to her and the Sisterhood before they were made to flee for Earth.
The shards of Feldspar.
39. What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?
If it’s been a light day, Baddel will more than likely reach for a warm cup of tea (preferably jasmine or macha) to recharge with. If it’s been an exceptionally stressful day, out comes the hookah and her stash of premium kush.

Earth remained difficult to view as anything more than repelling, offering false promises of reprieve, yet in these evenings Jasper found herself able to breathe easier in the crisp air as she crammed her hands into the pockets of a tight jacket that she hardly needed. It was relatively quiet, apart from the breeze and the crunch of leaves that were crisp and sunned. Attention grabbed, Jasper looked up, brows arched, and then drawn downwards, attempting to see the correlation between the leaf and herself. Inattentive, she thought little about the relation between her patterns and that of the fallen leaves. She grunted, as nothing immediately struck her as resembling the other. There was a worm nearby, but that seemed to be asking the other to stick more critters into her clothing. A blue bird with lovely white markings flitted into a tree, and Jasper stopped in her tracks, caught off guard. ”That. That’s you. Heh, has the same style of hair.”
" Jasper, ask if I'm sad. "
“Lapis, ask me if I care if you’re sad.”
Do you wear a onesie under those boots?
“No, fuck you. This is a standard uniform. At least I don’t risk exposure at the tug of a string.”
