what's your New Years resolution?
Wouldn’t it have been hilarious if I did think of one, and tried so hard to fulfill it, and then the plague popped up
one time im grateful I made no resolutions HOPE UR STAYING SAFE LIL RAT/MOUSE/PERSON
What's your New Years Resolution?
This question really made me think. In the past, I haven’t been one for New Years resolutions, but I’ve actually been giving it some thought recently.
I’d like to say that my resolution is to exercise more and eat better, etc. (things I should definitely do) but I know that I wouldn’t suddenly start doing those things just because I tell myself I will, and maybe it’s something that will come together once I sort some other things out.
Instead, I’ve been thinking that I’ll probably make my New Years resolution to take more risks. I want to write more, even though I’ve had a massive block for a few months now, and I want to be able to socialize more easily and try new things more often. A little less fear and a little more risk-taking will probably allow me to have a greater sense of freedom, not feeling as confined by self-imposed rules. Even though these are definitely minor risks, I know they’re going to be challenging for me and take deliberate effort.
I’m finally to a point in life where I’m realizing that I’ve been holding myself back. I’ve been trying to break free from that, but it’s still gonna take work, and hopefully I can do more things I tell myself that I will instead of putting them off or forgetting altogether. Maybe this ask can be the start of that. I have quite a few old asks in my box, and I feel bad about never getting around to them, but that was actually part of the reason I was determined to answer this one when I saw it come in, so I definitely thank you for sending it.
Anyway, sorry this went on so long, but thanks very much for the ask! I’m curious now if you have a resolution, and if so what it is. But happy New Year, and hopefully the Roaring 20s will be full of fun and fortune!
