Marc Marquez talks about Improvements on the GP25 (Official Misano Test 2025)
It is no secret that the factory Ducati squad is competing this season with a hybrid machine a GP25.2 which combines elements of last year’s bike with the current model. To keep development moving, Ducati brought a new swingarm and updated aerodynamics for the Misano Test 2025.
Marc Marquez tested both upgrades and left with positive impressions.
As Marquez explained.
"We tried out different swingarms and also compared the aerodynamic packages again – the one we used in the first part of the season and the current one. We did this to determine the direction for the Valencia test.
I drove the same lap time with both, 1:31.0 minutes. They are different – with one you can achieve higher cornering speeds, with the other we have more braking stability. It's about adapting the bike setup to the aerodynamics. But both work well."
Jorge Martin says he Improved a Lot with Marco Bezzecchi’s Set-Up (Official Misano Test 2025)
Marco Bezzecchi is currently Aprilia’s number one rider, while reigning world champion Jorge Martin finds himself in the role of number two after missing most of the 2025 season. Determined to catch up, Martin is looking to improve and at the Misano Test 2025, Martin took inspiration directly from his teammate.
During the official test, Jorge Martin tried out Marco Bezzecchi’s set-up and immediately noticed a big difference in performance and comfort on the bike.
As Martin explained.
"I tried different handlebar positions in Austria, but during a race weekend it's difficult to understand if they work. Here I tried the same setup as Marco [Bezzecchi] and felt a big step forward in terms of bike control. It's less physically demanding, which is crucial for maintaining pace in the race.
Now I'm closer to its ergonomic configuration. The handlebars are a bit higher and I feel stronger on the bike. We also changed the swingarm, with a longer distance like his. Yesterday in the race I was at 60%, today we've reached 75-80% of my limit. I still can't push 100%, but we're taking a big step forward."
Casey Stoner worked on Pecco Bagnaia’s Bike to help Him (Official Misano Test 2025)
Pecco Bagnaia continues to search for improvements in his difficult 2025 season, and the official Misano Test 2025 came at the right time to try new solutions.
Pecco Bagnaia received unexpected support in the garage, as Casey Stoner was spotted working directly on his bike and even suggesting changes to the mechanics.
As Bagnaia explained.
"At one point this morning I could see Casey working on my bike. If it were possible I would want him with me all the time, but is it is not possible. When a person can take advantage of the opinion of someone like Stoner, it is fundamental. Between us we get along well. We have the same ideas and it all came very naturally.
He has a great relationship with Gabarrini and we have been in this situation of helping each other since 2021. He is very analytical in his comments, sometimes to much. He has an incredible eye, as does Poggiali. They worked together."
