Regarding The Heart Of A Hero: A New Era, I thought ab Misao's and Nico's dynamic in the story.
We all know how Nico can be; she's the crude, unfriendly, violent Bomber Queen of class b. She has a difficult personality which drives other people away most of the time and her ego, which originates from her old man respectfully, causes others to feel slightly uncomfortable in her presence. Not Misao. 😂
Misao does the opposite and he's actually trying to be casual with her bc they can be considered the two sides of the same coin. Misao is a lot friendlier but he does have an ego nonetheless. She's yelling and making the entire exchange look like it came from some satirical comedy show which certainly amuses their classmates. Sometimes he's mocking her in a way that he's using more eloquent words than necessary, making him sound smart and stuck up. He's touching a nerve despite trying to calm her which is quite a challenge considering that Nico doesn't take anyone's shit. She knows what's up, she's not gonna withdraw if you know what I mean. Despite their witty chit-chat, Misao respects her bc he's a gentleman first and bastard second. Unless.
Nico genuinely looks up to her dad and wants to become someone as strong and respectful as him. Because of this same motivation, she is afraid of failure and scared of not being good enough. And sometimes she rly feels like she doesn't live up to his expectations.
Misao never understood this feeling bc no one made him that much important in the first place. He can't disappoint people if they're not having expectations of him. That's why he always worked on himself unlit he reached the desirable result. Everything he's done, he did it for himself.
That's why they meet up when no one's around and talk ab daily things or what's bothering them. Misao thinks Nico is bottling lots of frustrations which need to come out. She's training regularly to let some of the steam off but she's always avoiding that emotional part, the part which makes her pour her heart out and talk ab whatever.
Sure they're still being snarky with each other and Misao thinks Nico's attitude is quite troublesome but despite that, she's actually a good girl and they formed some sort of a weird friendship based on facing bad things and finding solutions to their problems. They learned to rely on the other's opinion even if it didn't sound like the most kindest thing to hear but it was them and calling each other rude names while no one was allowed to call them that was one of their unspoken rules.
Misao likes her but he wouldn't for the sake of it figure what she thinks about him or if she's still angry with his biting remarks. 😂
